Young boy jumps to death in Gurugram after getting scolded for coming home drunk

The 20-year-old BA student went on the 14th floor of Orchid Petals Society in Sector 49 and jumped to death

New Delhi, July 3

A young college student died by suicide by jumping from a high-rise in Gurugram after his father scolded him for consuming alcohol and coming home drunk.

The police stated that the incident took place at the Orchid Petals Society in Sector 49 of Gurugram. 

The victim was identified as Siddhant (20), a BA student. He had reportedly came home drunk. His father had allegedly reprimanded him and warned him not to repeat the act. 

The boy reportedly felt hurt and went to the 14th floor of Tower 18 in the housing society, and jumped from there.

The Gurugram Police rushed to the spot and sent his body for post mortem after initial inquiry. 

An investigation into the matter has been launched.
