The Border Security Force (BSF) welcomed 119 newly passed out officers form. The BSF academy who will guard borders of the country as Seema Praharis.
A grand passing out parade and attestation ceremony of Constable (Tradesmen) Batch No. 43 was held at Subsidiary Training Centre, BSF, Humhama.
P V Rama Sastry, IPS, Addl DG BSF (Western Command) Chandigarh, was the Chief Guest on the occasion. The Chief Guest was welcomed by Sh Ashok Yadav, IPS, IG BSF, Ftr Kashmir & STC Kashmir.The Chief Guest inspected the grand attestation parade of BSF recruit Constables.
Addressing the recruits, Addl DG BSF (Western Command) Chandigarh, whole heartedly appreciated the excellent display of self-confidence, skills and coordination which was the high point of the parade. He applauded the recruits for choosing BSF as career option and exhorted them to serve the nation with courage and enthusiasm.
In his address, Addl DG BSF (Western Command) Chandigarh congratulated, Inspector General, Ftr HQ BSF Kashmir and the instructional teams for successful efforts in achieving the objectives of molding the tradesmen, as trained Seema Prahari, giving them self-confidence & turning them into disciplined Jawans. He wished the Recruits with a bright future in their’s life and service ahead.
The Chief Guest awarded medals to Recruits who performed exceptionally well in various indoor and outdoor training activities. The parade was commanded by Ct/WC Deepak Kumar. Five trainees from the batch were adjudged best in different competitions and were presented with trophies.

Shri Ashok Yadav, IG BSF Kashmir Frontier senior officers and all personnel of Border Security Force and their families, family members of the trainees and school children witnessed the memorable parade.
Over the course of 44 weeks of training, the Constable (Tradesmen) gradually gained proficiency in handling different types of weapons, firing skills, law, drill and border management. Apart from this, due to the hard work of the trainers of the STC BSF, Kashmir their physical efficiency also increased many folds, officials said.
As a result of which they are physically, mentally and professionally prepared to serve the nation during peace and as well as in war. Besides above, training has also been imparted in Field Engineering, Field Craft, Minor Tactics Anti- Terrorism, Counter-Insurgency, Law & Order and Human Rights etc.
After the passing out parade, Brass Band show and the BSF song by the recruits won the hearts of the spectators which electrified the atmosphere.
