Delhi CP SN Srivastava presented 133 police officers with Police Commissioner’s Commendation Disc (Gold, Silver & Bronze) awards in a ceremony at the Police Headquarters in Delhi.
CP Shrivastava first time introduced Bronze Disc. for the police officers and personnel who have their outstanding contribution in discharge of official duty with unblemished record and have completed seven years of service while 12 years service 17 years have been mandatory for Silver and Gold Disc. respectively.
The Police Commissioner’s Commendation Disc (Gold, Silver & Bronze) Awards are on the lines of Central Armed Police Forces to boost up the morale of their personnel. These awards are presented to police personnel who have excelled in their fields. In total 25, 35 & 73 such Police officers/officials have been selected this year for Gold Disc, Silver Disc and Bronze Disc. These awards cover officials from the rank of constable to special CP for all the three categories and their names have been finalized by a Committee constituted for each rank.
Suvashis Choudhary, Jt.CP SR, Shri Prem Nath, Jt.CP Spl.Cell, Vikram Kapali Porwal, DCP (SO to CP Delhi) Suman Nalwa,DCP Spl.Branch & W/HC Babita Nagar have been presented Gold Discs while Inspector.(Exe.) Pravesh Kumar Kaushik, (North Distt.) and others have been awarded Silver Disc. Ms. Shweta Chauhan, DCP Rectt.Cell, Shri Sanjay Kumar Sain, DCP North-East Distt., Parvinder Singh, DCP Outer Distt. Shweta Singh Chauhan, Addl.DCP Central Distt. Anand Kumar Mishra, Addl.DCP Outer Distt. and Shri Jasbir Singh, ACP Spl.Cell.,W/SI Manju Chahar, Dwarka Distt. are among those awarded Bronze Disc
In addition to that, the MHA has confirmed Utikarisht Seva Padak & Utkarisht Seva Padak for 399 and 864 for Police officers/ personnel, Robin Hibu, Spl.CP AP. Anil Kumar, Addl.PRO consultant, then ACP have been awarded Utikarisht Seva Padak while David Lalrinsanga Spl.CP P&L, Shalini Singh, Jt.CP HQ., Meenu Choudhary, Jt.CP Traffic, Anil Kumar Lall, DCP PHQ and Mohd. Irshad Haider, DCP PHQ, have been conferred with Utkarisht Seva Padak along with other police officers/ personnel.
Speaking on the occasion CP, Delhi congratulated the winners and underlined that on the lines of para-military & security forces, Delhi Police has introduced CP’s Commendation Disc to inspire and encourage its personnel to perform better with extra zeal and enthusiasm. These rewards are different from Out of turn promotion and Asadharan Karya Puruskar.
He further underlined that there was a need to honour our personnel who work relentlessly and perform duties in difficult conditions and such rewards will inject our personnel with fresh vigour, energy and encouragement and raise level of performance in their respective fields besides connecting the force.
All senior officers were present on the occasion.
