57 Sub Inspectors of 29th batch pass out of CBI academy

The 29th batch of Sub-Inspectors consists of 57 officers from diverse academic backgrounds including —25 with B.A. degrees, 8 with B.Com, 12 with B.Sc., 2 with B.Tech, 1 with BCA, 8 with M.A., and 1 with M.Com

New Delhi, January 15

The Passing Out Parade (POP) of 57 Sub-Inspectors (29th Batch) of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) at CBI Academy, Ghaziabad. Praveen Sood, Director, CBI was the Chief Guest during the Ceremony.

Speaking on the occasion, Praveen Sood, Director, CBI congratulated the young officers and their families for successfully completing the training offered by CBI Academy which covered various aspects of investigation including the modern & new age investigation tools so as to be future ready. He also appreciated the officers and staff of CBI Academy for their hard work towards sharpening the skills of the young officers.

Referring to the composition of officers, Sood expressed satisfaction that this Batch has amongst the highest number of lady officers in a Batch. Shri Sood said that from working as ministerial staff in CBI to now qualifying as Police Officers, bring a big change in in these Officers. Calling for always remaining hungry for knowledge, Director CBI Shri Praveen Sood asked them to never shy of asking questions from seniors in their quest for knowledge and skill-upgradation.

Asking officers to draw inspiration from CBI motto of Industry, Impartiality and Integrity, Director CBI Praveen Sood called for adherence to high standards of discipline. He stressed that they are expected to work as Police Officers 24x7 with impeccable conduct without fingers being raised. CBI, he emphasised, has a zero-tolerance policy to any aberration and underlined that mistake done to obtain benefit or harm someone is not pardoned. He also called upon the families to support their officers who will be required to make bigger sacrifices in pursuit of their duties.

The 29th batch of Sub-Inspectors consists of 57 officers from diverse academic backgrounds including —25 with B.A. degrees, 8 with B.Com, 12 with B.Sc., 2 with B.Tech, 1 with BCA, 8 with M.A., and 1 with M.Com. After successfully completing their institutional training, the officers are now set to join various branches of the CBI, strengthening the agency’s workforce and commitment to upholding the law. The ceremony marks a significant milestone in their career with the premier investigative agency of the country.

During the ceremony, Director CBI also distributed Medals and Trophies to the winning trainee officers. Sh. Pradeep Kumar was awarded “DP Kohli Trophy for Best All-Round SI Trainee” and also “DCBI Trophy for Indoor Studies”. Divya Trivedi was awarded “Trophy for Cyber Crime Investigation”, while K.S. Megha received the “CBI Academy Trophy for Dedication and Exemplary Conduct” and Siya Ram Meena won the “John Lobo Trophy for Best Outdoor”.
