ACTIVE SHARP SHOOTER OF SUNIL TILLU GANG ARRESTED

New Delhi, March 13

The Delhi Police Rohini District arrested a sharp shooter of the infamous Sunil alias Tilu gang.

The accused was identified as Sumit alias Pankaj alias Jhumka (26) of Rohtak in Haryana.

The police said he was avoiding his arrest in a case of murder registered in February this year at Kanjhawala police station.

The police added that Sumit  was also involved in another shootout incident of December 2019, in village Bakhtawarpur and was absconding since then.

The police further said in February 4, one Kulbir alias Golu of Karala Delhi was shot dead by five unknown assailants riding on two motor cycles after intercepting his car at Kanjhawala road.

After severe surveillance and local network scans, the police was able to identify the accused persons involved in the murder. During his interrogation, he was  found to be an associate of infamous gangster Sunil alias  Tilloo and Sandeep alias Dilloo. Both gangsters are presently lodged in Tihar jail and on prima facie enquiry appears to have planned the murder from jail itself.

The police received specific input that Sumit was visiting a park near Rithala Metro Station to meet his friend. A trap was laid at Rithala metro station and he was arrested.

During the interrogation, he revealed he got a Whats-app call from Himmat alias Chiku (who is a brother of infamous gangster Sunil) with a direction to contact Sandeep to execute the murder of Kulbir. Thereafter, he met him and hatched the conspiracy to execute his murder. Sumit and Sandeep along with their other associates intercepted his car near Karala, Kanjhawala and opened fire at him.

Sumit comes from a family of police. His father is a dismissed employee of Haryana police. One Himmat of his village was also his classmate in same school. He was a relative of gangster Sunil. He used to get indulged in the gang wars with Sunil. He is previously involved in three cases in Haryana, police added.
