Kishor’s indefinite hunger strike which began on January 2 in support of the students demanding the cancellation of BPSC exam held on December 13 last year

New Delhi, January 6

The Bihar Police arrested Jan Suraaj founder Prashant Kishor, who had been on a fast unto death to press the demand for cancellation of a Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) examination at Gandhi Maidan.

The arrest comes amid Kishor’s indefinite hunger strike which began on January 2 in support of the students demanding the cancellation of BPSC exam held on December 13 last year.

The authorities claimed that the protest was illegal as it was being conducted at a restricted site.

Visuals from the protest site show a large team of cops removing Kishor from the protest site, as other protestors surround him in an attempt to stop the police.

The protesting students alleged that the paper for 70th combined (preliminary) competitive test conducted by the Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) was leaked.
