BSF and Punjab Police foil terror plot in Punjab, huge cache of arms seized

Despite the heightened situation on border, the arms syndicate across the border has not stopped its malicious designs to push weapons in Indian soil.
Based on reliable information of BSF intelligence wing, the troops of BSF in collaboration with Punjab Police launched an extensive search operation in the suspected bordering area of district Amritsar, successfully recovered one huge packet containing 2.7 Kgs high explosive, two hand grenades with accessories, two pistols, four magazines, 30 live rounds, two detonators and IED circuit.
The packet was found wrapped in yellow colour plastic material with an improvised metal wire loop attached, indicating it as a drone dropping. This significant recovery took place from a farming field adjacent to village- Sheikh Bhatti of Amritsar, officials informed.
The BSF intelligence wing, the BSF troops added a drone and one Heroin packet to its seizure haul in two different incidents.
During a joint search with Punjab police, the troops successfully recovered one packet of suspected heroin (Gross weight- 559 Grams) from a farming field near the village Rajatal of district Amritsar.
An extensive search by the BSF troops led to the recovery of one DJI Mavic 3 Classic drone from a harvested field adjacent to village Gola Dola of Gurdaspur.
