New Delhi, June 22
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has today apprehended accused Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police, while accepting bribe of Rs. one lakh from complainant.
The CBI registered a case on complaint against the accused against, Sub-Inspector posted at Chhawwla, police station on allegations that accused demanded bribe of Rs. 3 lakhs from complainant for not arresting him in a case. Later the SI allegedly agreed to accept Rs. 2 lakhs as bribe.
The CBI laid a trap and caught the said accused Sub-Inspector of Delhi Police red-handed while accepting bribe of Rs. one lakh from the complainant.
