CBI coordinates red corner notice of a wanted accused from Switzerland

The accused allegedly defrauded UP Financial Corporation to the tune of over 37 lakh in 1998 while working as an Assistant Manager in UPFC : CBI

New Delhi, August 3

The Global Operations Centre of Central Bureau of Investigation has coordinated with INTERPOL NCB – Bern and Uttar Pradesh Police for return of a Red Notice subject from Switzerland to India.

An accused Anil Kumar Khanna is wanted by Noida police under sections 406, 420, 467, 468, 471, 120B IPC. 

The CBI stated that the accused allegedly defrauded UP Financial Corporation to the tune of over 37 lakh in 1998 while working as an Assistant Manager in UPFC. The subject has been arrested by a team from U.P Police.

CBI had got a Red notice issued against him from INTERPOL General Secretariat on in June 2017 on a request of U.P Police. Red notice was circulated to all INTERPOL member countries for location and arrest of accused.

CBI as the National Central Bureau for Interpol in India, coordinates with all law enforcement agencies in India for assistance via INTERPOL channels.
