Delhi Crime Branch arrests a historysheeter with 25 cases against him in an encounter

Sher Khan aka Sheru who was on the run since December 17, 2024 was involved in 25 cases, including murder, robbery and POCSO Act

New Delhi, March 8

The Delhi Crime Branch arrested a historysheeter involved in 25 cases, including murder, robbery and Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act offenses after an encounter.

The crime branch identified him as Sher Khan aka Sheru who was on the run since December 17, 2024, after his family had an altercation with Javed’s family, leading to cross-firing between the two groups. A 10-year-old child sustained bullet injuries during the altercation.

Acting on an intel that Khan was going to arrive near Barwala village, Rohini, at around 5.40 pm, a person was seen coming on a Scooty who was identified as accused Sher Khan aka Sheru. He was signalled to stop by the police but he opened fire on the police team.

The police said that Khan was allegedly shot in the right leg in return fire and was arrested. He had a country-made pistol on him.
