Delhi family dies in a tragic incident of fire in Prem Nagar

The fire first broke out in an inverter which later spread to the whole house killing all four family members

New Delhi, June 26

In a tragic incident of fire, four members of a family died after a fire broke out at their residence in Delhi's Prem Nagar area.

The victims included a couple and their two young sons. 

The police said that the incident was reported at nearly 3.30 am on June 24, after which two fire tenders were sent to the spot.

The fire officials found out that the inverter at the couple's house had caught fire, and it spread to an adjacent sofa on the first floor of the building. 

In another incident, fire broke out in the emergency building of the Safdarjung Hospital. However, there were no reports of any injuries.

The fire was at gate 6 of the old emergency building of the Safdarjung Hospital. Seven fire tenders were rushed to the site to douse the fire.
