Delhi Metro police arrests a man for masturbating and ejaculating on a minor girl in the metro

A 28-year-old man has been arrested by the Delhi Police for allegedly masturbating and ejaculating on a minor girl on a Delhi Metro.
The accused was identified as Mojammal Hussain a labourer from West Bengal
The minor and her mother were heading home after Raksha Bandhan festivities when the incident took place in the Red Line metro route. The mother raised an alarm and they got off the train.
According to the police, it was a crowded coach on the Red Line of the Metro. There were other passengers who saw the accused masturbating behind the girl and stopped him. Two passengers caught the accused and called police. They handed him over to Metro authorities.
The accused was booked under IPC sections relating to sexual harassment and obscene act.
The DMRC released a statement saying, “Such incidents are… against dignity of passengers and societal norms. We appreciate the response of fellow passengers who brought it to the attention of DMRC staff. Taking prompt action, DMRC personnel handed over the accused to police.”
