Delhi Police Academy holds swearing-in ceremony for 2,172 newly trained trainees






New Delhi, February 25
The Delhi Police Academy held a swearing-in ceremony for 2,172 newly trained trainees, which includes three DANIPs officials
Those who undertook training include 26 PSIs (25 Male & 01 Female) of Delhi Police of Batch No. 55, 01 P/ASI of Chandigarh Police of Batch No. 55, 34 Recruit Constable (Driver Cadre) of Batch No. 29 and 2108 Recruit Constables (Executive Cadre, 1089 Males and 1019 Females) Batch No. 122 & 123. These trainees have successfully completed their training and are now prepared to take on their roles in the Delhi Police force. Below are the key highlights from the ceremony.
One of the newly trained DANIPs probationer has a B.Tech Degree and two are post graduates. Out of the 26 PSIs, 02 are post graduates, 07 have graduated with B.Tech and 17 others are graduates in different fields like B.A, B.Sc. & B. Com.
In the newly trained batch of recruit constables of driver, there are seven graduates, three post graduates and B.Tech.
From Batch No. 122 & 123 of Recruit Constable (Executive Cadre), 1162 trainees hold Bachelor’s degrees in fields such as BA, B.Com, B.Sc, B.Ed, LLB and 06 hold B.Tech degrees. 173 trainees hold Post graduate degrees in diverse fields like MA, M. Sc., M. Tech & MBA.
The officials said that the trainees underwent education in police procedures, criminal law, criminology, cyber-crime, investigation techniques, and forensic science to ensure they are equipped with the necessary legal and procedural knowledge. They have ben provided special training in New Criminal Laws.
They participated in unarmed combat, firing, anti-terrorist measures, and physical fitness activities such as games, yoga, and gym exercises. The focus was also on handling riot management, terrorism-related incidents, and building physical fitness and endurance. These trainees were also trained for Disaster Response and tactical weapon handling.
All Round Best trophy was awarded to DANIPs Probationer Kshitij Kumar in his batch.
Amongst the PSIs, Himanshu bagged the All Round Best Trophy.
Recruit Constable (Driver) Pankaj Kumar was awarded the All Round Best trophy for Batch No. 29.
Woman Recruit Constable Komal Sharma of Batch No. 122 & Kajal Hooda of Batch No. 123 were awarded All Round Best trophy.
Joint Director, Delhi Police Academy, Mohd Ali extended his congratulations to the trainees, expressing confidence in their preparedness to serve with professionalism and integrity. He highlighted the importance of discipline, teamwork, and the values of public service instilled during their training.
The oath was administered to the newly trained police personnel by Jitendra Mani, Deputy Director-II of Delhi Police Academy.
Special CP (Special Cell) Vivek Gogia was the chief guest of the event. He congratulated the trainees for completing their training and encouraged them to apply the knowledge gained during training in their field duties.
