New Delhi, May 22

The Delhi Police have arrested a man for writing messages threatening Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal at the Patel Nagar and Rajiv Chowk metro stations in the national capital.

The accused has been identified as Ankit Goyal (32), highly educated banker. He is a resident of Bareilly.

The police probe shows that the accused had come to Greater Noida from Bareilly to buy a house and was staying at a five-star hotel. He allegedly then used a metro and painted graffiti threatening Kejriwal.

The police have also suggested that Goyal's mental condition was not good though they haven't substantiated their claims.

After the graffiti surfaced, AAP accused the BJP of being behind the incident.
