Delhi Police arrests two in an encounter for shooting at a Sub Inspector in Patel Nagar

New Delhi, February 27
The Delhi Police held two men for an alleged attack on a sub-inspector in an encounter in Patel Nagar area. The police identified the accused as Anish (23) and Anurag Yadav (22).
The encounter took place at around 4.30 am after police received information about the movement of the suspects in the area. The two accused opened fire on the police teams and the teams retaliated by shooting back in self-defence, police added.
DCP (Cental), Harsha Varshan stated that when a team from the Rajinder Nagar police traced a robbery accused, Guddu, his associates had resisted the police action. SI Neeraj received a sharp injury on his back and was shifted to Gangaram Hospital. He is stable now.
Both the accused are historysheeters involved in crimes earlier.
