DELHI POLICE CENTRAL DISTRICT ARRESTED AN PROCLAIMED OFFENDER AFTER 24 YEARS

New Delhi, March 19

The Delhi Police Central District arrested a 63-year-old proclaimed offender after 24 years.
The police identified him as Ramavtar alias Ramu alias Shyamlal of Nawada in New Delhi. 

As per the case details, Ramavtar was booked in a case at RK Puram police station. He was declared as PO in July 1996  by the Patiala House Court. 

As per the case details, a complaint of was registered by Pallavi Chandra stating that the accused had stolen her car bearing registration no DDV 8600. During trial, accused Ramavtar failed to face the trial and was declared as proclaimed offender. 

The police had received information about the accused's arrival based on which a trap was laid by police team and the accused was arrested from an eatery in Rajender Nagar.
