New Delhi, January 12
The Delhi Police inaugurated the Commando Training Facilities and Commencement of First Residential Commando Course at Advanced Commando Training Centre at Abhanpur in Alwar of Rajasthan.
Mukesh Kumar Meena, Special Commissioner of Police/ Training and Vijay Singh, Director of Delhi Police Academy, Robin Hibu, Special Commissioner of Delhi Armed Unit, Special Commissioner Deepender Pathak, Shalini Singh, Nuzhat Hasan and other senior officers of Delhi Police along with the local authorities of District Alwar were also present on the occasion.
This training Centre was setup in 2015 on 91 acres of land. Initially only two long firing ranges were established at this Centre. Mukesh Kumar Meena, the Special CP Training, Delhi took initiative to get all types of Commando obstacles installed alongwith other required facilities for commando training .
Mukesh Kumar Meena, Special CP/Training welcomed the chief guest, Delhi CP Sanjay Arora, senior officers of Delhi Police, Rajasthan Police, local authorities of District Alwar and area residents present on the occasion.
He focussed on the ongoing commando training at the centre and emphasised that the standard of the training will be comparable to any other commando training centres.
During the training all the obstacle, courses, unarmed combat, Judo, Karate, firing practices etc. would be included. He also mentioned about the willingness of trainees to join Advanced Commando Training Centre for training and also the enthusiasm shown by them regarding this training programme. He thanked local administration and local people for their assistance in development of this Centre.
Delhi CP Sanjay Arora in his address congratulated the officers and staff of Delhi Police Academy for the development of Advanced Commando Training Centre effectively and efficiently in a short period of time.
Arora emphasised on the point that the purpose of training a police personal as a commando to make him efficient in multi-tasking. He also advised after completion of Commando training the commandoes should continue his practice in the commando training centre to maintain fitness. CP Delhi also honoured the District officials and respected villagers by presenting Delhi Police Mementos and Shawls.
Vijay Singh Director of Delhi Police Academy thanked the chief guest, all senior officers, local authorities, local public, staff and trainees of DPA for their assistance and contribution to the centre and also present on the occasion.
