DELHI POLICE DWARKA DISTRICT ARRESTED SWIGGY DELIVERY BOY WHO WAS ALLEGEDLY FOUND PEDDLING HEROIN

New Delhi, March 19

The Delhi Polie Dwarka District arrested a delivery boy who reportedly worked in Swiggy for allegedly having heroin in his possession.

The accused was identified as Jatin Chutani (29) of Arjun Nagar in Gurugram.

DCP Dwarka Santosh Meena stated that the accused was working in Swiggy but due to the lockdown of pandemic, he allegedly started supplying drugs to fulfil his financial needs.

The anti narcotics cell of Dwarka district had received information that one person was allegedly found selling smack (heroin) in the area of Durga Vihar Phase of Najafgarh. The accused was coming to the same spot to reportedly deliver the contraband at the same spot. 

The police laid a trap where they found him arriving on a black pulsar. He was overpowered and checked. He was allegedly found having Heroin of 30.26 Ggrams hidden in a bag.

During investigation, he revealed to police that he was serving in Swiggy as a delivery boy but due to lockdown, he was indulged in supply of drugs.

The accused has been booked under the  NDPS Act. The police are further investigating the case to nab the supplier who handed over the contraband to the accused for delivery.
