All cases have been registered at Sonia Vihar police station. In this massive recruitment drive, 67740 candidates will be tested for PE&MT at seven grounds at three locations in Delhi.
The official further added that in these 14 cases, it is apprehended that the candidates sent impersonators to appear for computer-based examination conducted by Staff Selection Commission for constable recruitment for Delhi Police held in December-2020 in their place.
Since, Delhi Police is conducting several stages of verification of candidates, these impersonators are being caught during the physical test. It is apprehended that solver gangs active in at least three different states are involved in these cases.
Taking about the recruitments, the official mentioned that extensive arrangements have been put in place keeping in view the sensitivity of the exercise and all Covid-related guidelines and protocol laid down by DDMA are followed to ensure safety of the candidates as well as the police personnel deployed.
In a first of its kind recruitment in recent times, negative RT-PCR reports, not older than 72 hours, have been made mandatory for all candidates entering the test venue. To facilitate candidates, Rapid Antigen Test Centres/Mobile Vans have been set up at all three venues. Face shields, masks and sanitizers are being provided to all police personnel on duty. Contact-free sanitizer-dispensers have been installed at several places at all the three venues to be used by all. A team of doctors, along with CATS ambulances with oxygen facilities, is also available at all times during the conduct of the test at the three locations to attend to any medical emergency.
In order to achieve accuracy and to diminish human interference of any kind, Radio Frequency ldentification (RFID) chips are being used for conduct of race events. This is a time-tested practice in recruitments conducted by several other Central Police Forces in the country and is being used for the first time in Delhi Police Recruitment.
