Delhi Police Special Cell arrested wanted murder criminal from UP

The Delhi Police Special Cell arrested wanted criminal from UP who was wanted in sensational murder cases in the national capital.
The notorious criminal was identified as Taj alias Chand Miyan from Rajouri Garden. He has been arrested at Jarwal bus stand, Luckow-Behraich road in Behraich of UP.
Taj was wanted in two criminal cases of sensational murders in the area of Khayala police station in Delhi and he was absconding for about last two years.
The special cell was on the lookout for Taj. During the surveillance on his associates, it was found that Chand Miyan was hiding in the areas of Lucknow and Behraich in UP. The officials mounted surveillance on him and his associates for two months. The speciall cell received an Intel that he was going to Lucknow from Behraich UP based on which a trap was laid following his arrest.
DCP (Special Cell) Jasmeet Singh stated that Taj and his associates had attacked Saurabh and Tarun to avenge the killing of Taj's brother Irshad. Irshad was murdered by one Ranjeet in conspiracy with Shaurabh in the year 2009 on the issue of distribution of money derived from Satta operating. After undergoing sentence, part of life imprisonment in that case, Saurabh was released on bail by the Delhi HC.
The official added that in order to avenge the murder of his brother, Taj had attacked and mercilessly beaten Saurabh and his associate Tarun with baseball bats, stones in which both got serious injuries. Saurabh was declared dead. Two accused persons namely Aabad and Moinuddin were arrested in this case, but main accused namely Taj had absconded.
Similarly, in an another case, one Vinod Bhati, a property dealer of Raghubir Nagar area was shot dead by Taj in conspiracy with his associates in his office in Raghubir Nagar in June. Bhati had earlier killed Riyaz, uncle of Taj in the year 2019 in Delhi. Vinod Bhati was out on bail in that case in April 2021 when he was killed by Taj.
The officials added that Taj has confessed that he was hiding in UP for six months to evade arrest in these two cases. The court had also declared him a proclaimed offender.
