DIVYANG PERSON REUNITED WITH HIS FAMILY BY DELHI POLICE

A Divyang person was reunited with his family who was missing since seven months and found deserted in Sultanpur area of Delhi.

DCP South Atul Thakur stated that the special person was spotted hy patroling team near Fatehpur Beri. A case of missing person was registered in Mandir Marg police station by his family. 

The officials said when the patrolling can reached Sultanpur village, they found a person in a deserted condition who was sitting alone on the road side having long beard and hair. 

When the police asked his whereabouts, he said his name is Gaurav and was unable to disclose other information regarding his family members and residential address. During counseling sessions, the person revealed only “Hospital-Hospital” but failed to give any further details.           

When the police found no clue they searched in villages under Fatehpur Beri police station and adjoining areas of Gurugram and Faridabad.  The team took assistance of a psychiatrist of a local hospital who counseled the person. 

During this exercise, the person disclosed the name of Kalawati Hospital.  Immediately, the team reached at Kalawati Hospital but the person was not recognized by anyone.  The team shared photographs of the missing person on various police groups and after much efforts, a missing entry was found to be lodged at Mandir Marg police station in July 2020.

The police at Mandir Marg police station stated that the missing complaint was filed by family members of the victim who are residents of Shastri Park.

The police inquired further and spoke with the victim's mother who stated that she alongwith Gaurav had gone to Kalawati Hospital in July 2020 for his check-up but he went missing from the there. The missing person was reunited with his family due to alertness of patrolling staff, the officials added.
