Five-year-old boy kidnapped and gangraped in Hapur of UP

The accused also thrashed and abused the family members of the child when they went to their home to complain about the incident

New Delhi, September 30

A five-year-old boy was allegedly gang-raped by two men in Hapur district of Uttar Pradesh.

The accused were identified as Arsh and Junaid, took the boy from his home and then gang-raped him on a nearby farm. Two goat herders, Rizwan and Alfez, who were present on the farm shot a video of the incident and shared it on the internet.

The accused also thrashed and abused the family members of the child when they went to their home to complain about the incident. They also threatened to kill the boy's family members before fleeing from the scene.

The police stated that the incident came to light on September 26, when the boy's health deteriorated. On being questioned about the injury marks on his body, he narrated the entire incident to his family members.

The police have registered an FIR under sections 140-4 (kidnapping), 351-2 (criminal intimidation) and 352 (intentional assault) of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and sections of the POCSO Act.
