Government school teacher held in Maharashtra for showing porn videos to girl students

A government school teacher was arrested in Akola district of Maharashtra for allegedly showing pornographic content to six girl students and sexually abusing them for months.
The accused was identified as Pramod Sardar (47). One of the Class 8 students called the toll-free helpline of the Child Welfare Centre and informed the officials about the incident.
Six girl students complained that the teacher had been showing them obscene videos for the past four months.
The incident came to light after the girl students complained to their parents about the teacher. The police went to the school and began an investigation, after which he was held.
The police stated that the accused had been showing porn videos to the girl students for the past four months and also touching them inappropriately.
Members of the Child Welfare Committee also visited the school and spoke to some of the girls and gathered more details.
