Haryana Police to establish State Cyber Crime Coordination Centre

The Haryana Police is all set to establish State Cyber Crime Coordination Centre in Gurugram for an advanced cyber security infrastructure.

CP Gurugram, Vikas Arora has deputed DCP Deepak Gehlawat to study the cybercrime centre of Hyderabad Police, which would help is establishment of State Cyber Crime Coordination Centre in Gurugram. 

DCP Gehlawat left for Hyderabad along with the team to study the operations of the Cyber Crime Coordination Center located in Cyberabad (Hyderabad). After studying the work of the centre in Hyderabad, they they will submit their report on the same, which will be helpful in establishing “State Cyber Crime Coordination Centre” in Gurugram. 

The officials said that initiatives to overcome the challenges of cyber crime with an understanding of the complex nuances of the digital age will be streamlined and strengthened by the Government through the Cyber Crime Coordination Centre. The state cyber police station and cyber forensic lab will also be strengthened through this centre.

The officials added that as it is known that cyber thugs commit crimes of cheating people in new ways every day, due to which the cases of digital threats/cyber fraud are continuously developing. The cases of cyber/digital crimes have become a big challenge for the society and the police, therefore, with the aim of streamlining, strengthening the initiative to overcome the challenges of cyber crimes and giving new momentum to cyber security.
