IPS officer Guriqbal Sidhu posted at MHA as Deputy Secretary

New Delhi, February 25
The 2012 batch IPS officer Dr. Guriqbal Singh has been appointed Deputy Secretary in the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA) for a four-year term.
According to an order issued by the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), Dr. Sidhu will serve under the Central Staffing Scheme from the date he assumes charge or until further orders.
Dr. Sidhu, a medical graduate from Government Medical College, Amritsar, hails from Bathinda, Punjab. He previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) in Rohini, Delhi where he had a successful stint. His direct approach to monitor the district and every case personally aided Delhi Police in receiving 100% detection rates in the district.
At present he is posted as DCP in Economic Offenses Wing of Delhi Police. He is a recipient of ASSP-2020 Police Special Duty Medal in 2017.
