JEE aspirant ends life due to academic pressure in Okhla of Delhi

The 17-year-old girl had allegedly mentioned to her mother earlier, that she would take an extreme step if she didn't clear JEE

New Delhi, October 28

A 17-year-old JEE aspirant died by suicide at Okhla Main Market in Delhi. The girl left a suicide note mentioning academic pressure.

The police informed that the girl, is a resident of Shaheen Bagh, had cleared Class 12 and was preparing for the JEE (Joint Entrance Exam) exam. She had allegedly mentioned to her mother earlier, that she would take an extreme step if she didn't clear JEE. 

The police have registered a case under Section 194 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita.

The victim’s father is a private employee while her mother is a housewife.
