A woman was allegedly tied up and raped in front of her 11-year-old daughter by her neighbour at a farmhouse in Delhi.
The police stated that the incident took place when the 37-year-old woman was sleeping along with her daughter in the verandah of a farmhouse, where her husband is a caretaker. While the woman and her daughter were asleep, their neighbour. scaled the wall and came to the verandah. He forcibly restrained the woman and her daughter.
After tying them up, the accused sexually assaulted the woman and threatened to murder her daughter if she told anyone about the incident and fled from the spot.
On April 24, the husband, who was at his village in Bihar when the incident took place, returned home. The woman then filed a complaint with the police.
The woman underwent a medical examination. The police have booked the accused for rape and arrested him.
