Model Divya Pahuja Murder- Gurugram Police arrests a woman who aided the accused in murder

The Gurugram Crime Branch probing the murder of model Divya Pahuja made their fourth arrest in the case, a 20-year-old woman who allegedly helped the accused dispose of the murder weapon.
The police had arrested the main accused, owner of City Point Hotel Abhijeet Singh (56) who shot at Pahuja, and hotel staff Omprakash and Hemraj, who helped him move the body.
The police identified her from the hotel’s CCTV footage and the call records between Abhijeet and Megha.
The police identified the co accused as Megha,who works as a delivery executive and is a resident of Mitraon Extension in Najafgarh.
ACP (Crime) Varun Dahiya stated that she knew Abhijeet through an old friend and confessed that she helped him dispose of the weapon used in the murder and the deceased’s documents and personal belongings. She was employed by Abhijeet to carry out domestic chores at his home in Delhi’s South Extension.
The officer added that Megha and Abhijeet went to an area in West Gurgaon and disposed of the weapon, Divya’s ID, and belongings.
The police have now begun a search operation to get the disposed off weapon and belongings.
However, the police are yet to find Divya’s body which was taken in a BMW by two more men, Balraj Gill and Ravi Banga. While the car was found at a bus stand in Patiala, the body was not inside. The duo remain absconding. The police have sought help of divers to find her body in adjoining canals.
Divya was arrested in 2016 for allegedly providing information to Haryana Police on the whereabouts of gangster Sandeep Gadoli, leading to him being killed in an alleged fake encounter at a Mumbai hotel. She was granted bail in June 2023 by the Bombay High Court on the ground that she had spent six years in jail and the trial will take time to conclude.
