New Delhi, September 20
The Mumbai police have arrested the duo who threatened Salim Khan, Bollywood actor Salman Khan's father, while he was on a morning walk in Bandra.
The police said that the burqa clad woman and a man with her claimed that they threatened Salim Khan “just for fun”.
The police stated that Salim Khan had saw last four digits of the vehicle registration number, which was 4444, and informed the police about it. The duo were later tracked down and arrested in central Mumbai's RA Kidwai Nagar.
When Salim Khan was out for a morning walk with Salman Khan near his Bandra home, a man and a burqa-clad woman, on a scooter, approached him and issued a threat citing jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's name.
The burqa-clad woman had threatened Salim Khan saying, “Should I call Lawrence Bishnoi?”
In April this year, two bike-borne men fired multiple rounds outside Salman Khan's home in Mumbai's Bandra. Nobody died or was injured in the incident.
After the incident, fugitive gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's brother, Anmol Bishnoi, claimed responsibility for the incident in a social media post.
