Mumbai police constables save an elderly woman at Marine Drive
Constables from Marine Drive, Kiran Thackeray and Anol Dahifale jumped in the water to save the woman
New Delhi, June 29
Two police constables at Mumbai's Marine Drive saved an elderly woman who had slipped into the water.
The incident occurred on June 27 near Sundar Mahal junction.
The constables from Marine Drive, Kiran Thackeray and Anol Dahifale, police station immediately jumped into. They used ropes and other equipment to safely rescue Swati Kanani, a resident of Matunga East, who is now receiving treatment at a civic hospital.
The swift operation lasted nearly 20 minutes, supported by women police constables who rushed her to GT Hospital.
The commendable work of both the constables was praised by the citizens and Mumbai police.
