Previously violent hit Jahangirpuri observes Hanuman Jayanti in tight security

The Delhi Police turned previously violence hit Jahangirpuri area into a fortress as groups observed Hanuman Jayanti in Jahangirpuri.
After denying the permission for Ramnavmi celebrations and the groups yet taking out huge Shobha Yatra with hundreds shouting slogans against denial of permission, the Delhi Police had this time allowed the groups to take out a rally however under vigilance of police.
The processions were organized by Vishwa Hindu Parishad and Hindu Vahini.
During the previous procession on Ramnavmi,1,000-odd people walked waving saffron flags and raising slogans for nearly half a kilometre.
Special CP (Law and Order) Dependra Pathak later told the media that they have allowed the procession but in a regulated manner.
The first procession was held by Hindu Vahini along with 100-200 locals from 11 am-1 pm in H block, who were wearing black scarves and bands to protest against police. The men tried to walk to block G but were stopped by police and CRPF personnel.
The second procession was done by VHP in E block which was attended by at least 1,000 people. The organisers put up loudspeakers and the group marched 400 metres with a small chariot amid loud chants of ‘Jai Shri Ram’ and ‘Har Har Mahadev’.
The police had set up heavy security in the area who were armed with anti-riot gear, tear gas shells and more. The para military force of CRPF and RAF was stationed to aide local police,
