The Pune police have arrested two persons for throwing the dead body of his lover, who died during an abortion, and her two children into a river.
The victim was a 25-year-old pregnant woman died while undergoing an abortion at a Navi Mumbai hospital on July 9.
The main accused has been identified as Gajendra Dagadkhaire, who was the woman’s lover. His accomplice identified was identified as Ravikant Gaikwad.
The duo decided to dispose of her body in the Indrayani river near Talegaon in Pune. When the woman's kids aged 5 and 2 years, started crying seeing their mother's body being pushed in a river, the accused pushed the kids also in the river.
The police stated that the woman was in a relationship with Dagadkhaire after separating from her husband. She got pregnant with the accused child.
The woman’s family, that was unable to contact her, filed a missing person report with the police.
The police nabbed the duo through their call records and found frequent phone contact between Gajendra, the woman, and his friend Ravikant. The duo initially refused to accept their crime however later confessed.
