Several people were injured when a tin shed collapsed during a music show in Saran district of Bihar where hundreds of people wee present.
The police stated that the shed was in a dilapidated condition and packed with villagers watching dance performances on September 3 night. As the crowd grew uncontrollable, many climbed onto the tin shed's extension, causing it to collapse.
A video of the incident, went viral on social media, showing hundreds of people coming down suddenly as the dilapidated shed collapsed during the programme.
Visuals also showed people climbing balconies, trees and roofs of buildings along the road to watch the dance performance.
After the sudden collapse a chaotic stampede-like situation took place after which district administration and police rushed to take stock of the situation.
