Sidhu Moosewala Killing- Gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's key aide and Canada gangster Goldy Brar now under police radar

New Delhi, May 30

The murder of Punjab singer and politician Sidhu Moosewala has again raised the heat on gangs of Lawrence Bishnoi still working in Delhi-NCR, Punjab and Haryana and now spreading their presence further with the Canada based gangster Goldy Brar. 

Goldy Brar has openly accepted the role in the murder of Shubhdeep Singh aka Sidhu Moosewala giving an open challenge of gangism raising questions at the police. 

The Canada based gangster released a post on Facebook in Punjabi stating, “Sachin Bishnoi Dhattaranwali, Lawrence Bishnoi, and I are behind the killing of Sidhu Moose Wala.” 

Sidhu Moosewala had a security cover of four policemen which was scaled down in the recent decision of Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann to remove security of 424 VIPs in Punjab including politicians. 

On the day of the incident , Moosewala took his Mahindra SUV with registration number PB 65 AV 9713 without the PSOs. Two more people were sitting with him in the car. Moosewala had a bulletproof Fortuner which he didn't take on the fateful day. 

Sidhu's father Balkaur Singh has filed a complaint with the police. Singh was following him in a car with the security personnel and few meters away In his complaint, his father had mentioned that a SUV and Sedan were waitind for Sidhu's car before the attack. 

The Punjab Police have termed the killing as inter gang rivalry led by Lawrence Bishnoi gang. 

Punjab DGP VK Bhawra said, “Canada based gangster Goldy Brar of Lawrence Bishnoi gang is behind the killing of Sidhu Moosewala. Brar has taken responsibility of the killing. One of Moosewala’s managers had been involved in the killing of a youth Akali Dal leader Vikram Singh Middukhera. We have formed a Special investigation Team of senior officers who will investigate the case in detail”. 

According to the police, the CCTV cameras have captured a white colour car used by the assailants.  His SUV  was ridden with 30 bullets during the shootout. His car when found by the police at the spot was destroyed with glasses shattered, blood spilled and bullets with 30 empty cartridges lying on the road. 

The police stated that the assailants used three AK 96 rifles and fired 30 rounds at Moosewala’s car. 

Bishnoi is lodged in a Rajasthan jail and still runs his gang from behind the bars. A dreaded gangster Bishnoi, has criminal records in Delhi, Rajasthan, Punjab and Haryana with cases of murder, extortion, arms trafficking, attacks on police and more.  

The name of Lawrence Bishnoi gained more popularity after his associate and gang member Sampat Nehra had allegedly planned to kill Bollywood actor Salman khan, He was arrested by the Haryana Special Task Force in Bangalore in 2018. Bishnoi’s gang was also involved in killing of Punjabi singer Parmish Verma in April 2018.

Goly Brar has been running his network from Canada and has been found involved in running a huge network in India through his gang members in cases of extortion, murder and arms trafficking. 

Goldy Brar claimed that Sidhu Moose Wala was also behind the murder of his own brother Gurlal Brar. Goldy alleged that the police did not take any action against Moosewala.

He also claimed that Sidhu Moosewala had a hand in the encounter of Ankit Bhadu, adding “Sidhu Moose Wala was working against us.”

SSP Mansa Gaurav Toora said, “The killing of Moosewala has been a fallout of inter gang rivalry. There was a strong rivalry between Lawrence Bishnoi and Lucky Patial gangs and the attack could be connected to it. We are investigating the matter and we have got some leads”. 

Goldy’s name has recently appeared in the arrests by Punjab Police Anti Gangster Task Force (AFTF) who has arrested. The AGTF had arrested three aides of Goly Brar on May 2- Lovepreet Singh alias Sachin of Charewaan village, Himmatveer Singh Gill of Jhorar village and Balkaran alias Vicky of Chak Dukhe Wala village. 

AGTF Chief Gurpreet Bhullar, “On the directions of Goldy Brar and Anmol Bishnoi, younger brother of Lawrance Bishnoi, they were providing hideouts to absconding gangsters of the National Capital Region (NCR). Sachin and Himmatveer were involved in drug smuggling and illegal weapon trafficking in the neighbouring states of Punjab, Haryana and Delhi”. 

Besides, Goldy Brar, Lawrence Bishnoi has other key associates like Kala Jathedi, Monty and Kala Rana. Rana was extradited to India from Thaliand. Jathedi, who is allegedly involved in 40 murders was arrested with his girlfriend Anuradha Chaudhari. 

The Delhi Police Special Cell in their recent operations had gunned down and arrested numerous gangsters associated with Lawrence Bishnoi, Neeraj Bawana, Patial and Kaushal gang operating in the northern belt of the country. 

With Bishnoi, Jathedi already in jail, the police are now gearing up on Canada based gangster Goldy Brar. 

In 2019, Moose Wala released the song ‘Jatti Jeonay Morh Di Bandook Wargi,’ which landed in controversy due to a reference to the 18th-century Sikh warrior Mai Bhago. He was accused of casting the Sikh warrior in a negative light, for which he later apologised.

During the Covid-19 pandemic, a video of Moose Wala went viral which allegedly showed him firing with an AK-47 rifle in a firing range with some police officer. After the incident, he was later booked under two sections of the arms act and was widely criticized for promoting gun culture.

Moosewala was a member of Congress had joined the party in November 2021 in a pompous ceremony. He contested the Punjab assembly election from Mansa his home district and lost to AAP leader Vijay Singla who was recently sacked by CM Mann for corruption.

Last month, Sidhu Moose Wala landed in a controversy after he attacked the Aam Aadmi Party and its supporters in his song ‘Scapegoat’. The singer had termed AAP supporters ‘gaddar’ (traitor) in his song.

Sidhu Moose Wala, gained popularity with his song ‘So High’ which was released in 2017. Thereafter, he released his debut album PBX 1 in 2018, which peaked at 66th on Billboard Canadian Albums chart. Sidhu's songs known to be impactful in the writing were popular among his fans.
