A 19-year-old girl was allegedly stabbed by her friend after she reportedly rejected his marriage proposal in the Delhi Cantonment area.
The girl had come with her family just a year ago from her village in Uttar Pradesh. Amit, 20, had known the girl for the past year, they were friends, and worked at a grocery shop.
The police received a call at 9.30 pm about two people lying injured near the Kirbi Bus Stop.
The police said video footage showed them walking together in the Delhi Cantonment area hours before the incident.
Prima facie it appears that Amit wanted to marry the girl, but she was not ready, police informed.
Both were admitted to the Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital, and are undergoing treatment.
