Telangana priest kills girlfriend, dumped her body in a manhole behind the temple

New Delhi, June 15

A married priest in Telangana allegedly killed his girlfriend and umped har body in a manhole in Saroornagar district. 

The accused was identified as Ayyagari Sai Krishna who is married with two children. Interestingly, Krishna himself went to police and filed a complaint of missing stating that Kuruganti Apsara was missing since May 3. He stated that he had dropped her at the Shamshabad bus stand as she was planning to travel to Bhadrachalam but she is missing. 

However, as the investigation progressed, the police grew suspicious of Sai Krishna's account after CCTVs and other technical data were searched. Krishna had claimed that Apsara is his niece.

During questioning, Sai Krishna confessed to the crime, revealing that he had killed Apsara. He was already married and had two children. However, he had been involved in an extramarital affair with Apsara who had been pressuring him to marry her. Therefore, Sai Krishna resorted to murdering her.

According to the police, the accused killed Apsara in Shamshabad and then packed her body in a plastic cover before transporting it to Saroornagar. He threw the body into a manhole behind the MRO Office, close to the temple where he served as the priest.

The police have registered a case of murder and other charges against the accused under various sections of the IPC.
