Tution teacher beats up Gurugram student, booked

New Delhi, November 27

A Class 8 student was allegedly beaten up by her tuition teacher in Sohna of Gurugram. The police have booked the teacher for assault under relevant sections of the Juvenile Justice (JJ) Act. 

The incident took place with a teenage girl who had gone to the tuition class with her brother. She was beaten up by the teacher as she failed to perform well in class. The girl had received minor injuries on the forearm and knuckles. 

The police stated that the girl had been going to the tuition teacher for almost a year. She was sent for MLR (medico-legal report). 

The FIR has been registered under section 75 of the JJ Act and section 323 of the Indian Penal Code
