Two groups clash in Ajmer over land, one dead

The groups fired at each other resulting in death of one young man

New Delhi, September 23

 

In a clash between two groups in Ajmer, man was killed, and another person was injured. 

 

The police stated that a clash erupted between the two groups over construction on a piece of land in the Rupangarh area, which reportedly belonged to a Jain Samaj group.

 

Thr deceased was identified as Shakeel Langa while the injured was identified as Naarayan Kumawat. 

 

One group opposed the construction, alleging that the sarpanch had wrongfully leased the land, although the owner, Jain Samaj, distanced itself from the matter.

 

However both sides allegedly attacked each other with sticks and rods. During the violence, one side opened fire, resulting in the death of a one man. 

 

The mob also destroyed a JCB machine, set it on fire, and vandalised several other vehicles.

 

The police have deployed additional security forces while raids are bing conducted to identify the accused.
