Two students die by suicide in Delhi after the CBSE results were declared

New Delhi, May 15

Two students allegedly died by suicide a day after the CBSE results were declared as they were allegedly upset with their marks. 

The first incident was reported from Hari Nagar area when police received a call from Deen Dayal Upadhyay (DDU) Hospital regarding a 16-year-old girl who was brought in dead by her father. 

The police added that the girl committed suicide by hanging after scoring a low percentage in her CBSE Class 12 examinations although she had scored 75%. She was in science stream. 

However no suicide note was found from her. 

In another incident on the same day, police received information from Outer Delhi’s Mongolpuri regarding a 19-year-old girl being admitted at the hospital after hanging herself at her house.

The deceased had found out that she had failed in her Class 12 exams. No suicide note was found near her body.
