Two terrorists gunned by security forces in Kupwara of J&K

The gunfight erupted near the LoC in the Keran sector of the north Kashmir district

The Jammu and Kashmir police alongwith security forces gunned down two terrorists in an encounter broke in Kupwara district. 

The gunfight erupted near the LoC in the Keran sector of the north Kashmir district.

Hours before the gunfight, one Army jawaan was injured during a firing between the terrorists and security forces in Jammu Doda district. The encounter erupted in Jaddan Bata village in the Kastigarh area in midnight. 

Four Army officials were killed while fighting against terrorists in the Doda district on July 16. Kashmir Tigers, a shadow group of Pakistan-backed terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammad (JeM) had claimed the responsibility. 

After the attack, the security forces launched a a massive crackdown against the terror network in the region.

the valley has been witnessing series of terror attacks since June 9 starting with the Reasi terror attack where a bus of pilgrims fell down the gorge after it was attacked by terrorists. That was followed by two more terror attacks in Jammu. 

On July 14, the Indian Army killed three terrorists at LoC. On July 6, 6 terrorists were gunned down by security forces in twin gunfights in Kulgam district, with two soldiers also losing their lives during the encounters.On June 26 three terrorists were killed in a gunfight with security forces.
