UP airport, railway station receives bomb threat, sender challenges UP CM Yogi Adityanath

An anonymous email was sent to Lucknow Police Headquarters, claimed that 50 kilograms of RDX would be placed at Agra Airport on August 3, followed by an explosion at the railway station

New Delhi, August 2

The UP Police in Agra intensified security at Agra airport and Cantonment railway station after an email threatened bomb attacks at the spots.

An anonymous email was sent to Lucknow Police Headquarters, claimed that 50 kilograms of RDX would be placed at Agra Airport on August 3, followed by an explosion at the railway station. The sender has also dared the police and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister to thwart the attacks if possible.

The Agra Police, along with the Special Task Force (STF), rushed to both the spots and conducted a thorough search operation.

Upon receiving the threat, police headquarters promptly notified the Agra Commissionerate, leading to immediate and extensive security enhancements at both the airport and the railway station.

The police have registered a case against unidentified individuals and has initiated a thorough investigation into the origin of the email.

Meanwhile, the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) and STF are actively involved in tracing the sender and evaluating the threat's credibility.
