UP Police to recruit over 26000 reserve police and over 170 fire services posts

New Delhi, January 10

The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board has opened the recuirtment for 26,210 posts of reserve civil police and 172 posts of firemen. 

The UPPR&PB officials said that the exam will be conducted in offline mode on an OMR sheet format. The officials said that all those qualify the written exam will then have to appear for the next level test of document verification and physical tests. 

SP Recruitment of UP PR&PB stated that UP PR&PB issued notification for recruitment of a total of 13,800 posts in 2021. 

The posts include 9534 SI rank with 484 posts of platoon commanders and 23 in fire services. Another section that for SI (Confidential) has been opened for 295 posts. The recruitment has been also opened for 1034 ASIs, 2244 posts in radio and wireless division and 693 computer operators, the recruitments of which are under the process. 

The UP PR&PB has invited quotations/bids from reputed companies and agencies from January 27, 2022 onwards, for preparing the whole recruitment process in UP Police. 

The officials added that the organisations should have completed some selected activities for Union Public Service Commission (UPSC), State Public Service Commissions, joint entrance exams for engineering, medical and management courses, recruitment boards of public sector enterprises, central/state police departments and other such government departments.

The department is yet to announce the application process details and exam date for the recruitment drive.
