Woman gives birth to a child in Gurugram PCR van

New Delhi, January 2

A young woman gave birth to a baby inside an emergency response vehicle in Gurugram. 

The police had received a call on their helpline 112 regarding the emergency and a vehicle was dispatched to the area in Sector 18 in Gurugram. 

The woman was accompanied by her husband, natives of Bihar, and they were heading to a hospital. 

Assistant Sub Inspector Vikas, Constable Vikram and Special Police Officer Kamal were inside the emergency response vehicle no 302, the police said.

The officials added that while on the way to the hospital, the baby was delivered in the ERV itself, and it was stopped for the delivery. The charge and his team themselves helped in the delivery of the baby. 

The woman and baby girl were taken to a hospital where both were reported healthy, police added.
