Delhi Police started a women pipe band in 2021 with an aim to have an all women pipe band in the force. The women personnel who are a part of this band underwent rigorous training of a heavy musical instrument pipe that takes immense strength to play. The women pipe band of Delhi performed at the Republic Day parade and the Delhi Police Raising Day event winning numerous hearts. Initiated by Special Commissioner Robin Hibu, the Delhi Police wome pipe band has made a mark for itself in a short span. Spcl CP Hibu struggled to get a go ahead for the pipe band brought in commendable talent in the police force with this pipe band. The women pipe band is now participating in All India Police Bands competition organised at various levels.
