ASI from Ludhiana creates ruckus in an inebriated state, held

An assistant sub-inspector from Ludhiana police created a havoc in a hospital allegedly in an inebreited state.
The accused ASI, Parminder Singh is in-charge of the Kithlu Nagar police post in Ludhiana.
Dr Osho Balagan filed a complaint with police regarding the incident. As per his complaint, the ASI created a ruckus at the Samrala civil hospital in Ludhiana district and misbehaved with the staff in an inebriated state and doctors on night duty. When the staff objected to his antics, the official threatened to shoot them all dead.
He was later arrested after the hospital staff staged a protest, demanding action against the cop who had threatened to shoot them in an inebriated state.
The police added that the ASI also made a video of the incident and threatened to send the video to the Punjab chief minister, recommending action against them.
The medical staff also staged a protest alleging police inaction against the erring cop.
The police have registered a case under sections 353 (assault or criminal force to deter public servant from discharge of his duty), 186 (obstructing a public servant in discharge of public functions), 506 (criminal intimidation) and 427 (damages) of the Indian Penal Code.
