Bengaluru businessman kills wife for not cooking chicken fry

New Delhi, August 25

In a bizzare incident of a fight between a couple, Bengaluru businessman allegedly hit and killed his wife for not cooking tasty fried chicken. 

The Bengaluru police arrested the husband who was identified as Mubarak Pasha, 30, a resident of Tarabanahalli in the outskirts of Bengaluru. The deceased was identified as Shirin Banu, 28.

The police stated that Banu's parents lodged a complaint stating their daughter was missing since August 18 night. Pasha along with his advocate confessed of killing his wife and dumping her body in a lake on August 23.

Mubarak, fearing his arrest, had transported her body in a gunny bag from the house and had thrown it into Chikkabanawara lake.

He had told her parents that Shirin had left him. However, her parents were worried about their daughter going missing all of a sudden, grew suspicious of Mubarak, and lodged a complaint against him.

The police are still searching for the body of the victim. 

As per his statement to police, he stated that he told her to cook chicken fry on August 18. When he came home, he was disappointed that there was no chicken fry. When he asked her she replied arrogantly and in that moment, he hit on her head using a wooden log. 

The police added that Banu's parents had often counselled him as he reportedly fought with his wife over trivial matters and also used to beat her up.
