Blast at BJP leader Pradeep Bisht's house in Nanital

New Delhi, September 15

An explosion occurred at a BJP district President's home in Uttarakhand on September 14. The Uttarakhand police deputed a deputy inspector general rank officer to probe the incident. 

The incident took place in the house of BJP district president Nainital, Pradeep Bisht at  Heera Nagar. 

The police said the doors and windows of his house were damaged. However, there have been no reports of casualties or injuries.

According to police, a loud bang was heard at approximately 12:30 pm, following which the windows and doors of Bisht's residence were uprooted and smashed. There was also damage to a wall in one room.

Pushkar Singh Dhami, the Chief Minister of Uttarakhand, took note of the incident and ordered an investigation to be conducted by the DIG. 

Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Nilesh Anand Bharne inspected the spot. The Nainital police had cordoned off the area for investigation. 

The police said the cause of the blast is being probed.
