CBI arrests a private persons for accepting bribe for a postal dept official in UP
The accused postal department official had demanded of Rs.50,000 for facilitating smooth and error free annual inspection of post master

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) had arrested a tout for demanding and accepting bribe of Rs 20,000 from the complainant on behalf of accused official of Postal Department posted as Line Overseer, in Pratapgarh (UP).
The CBI registered a case in November against said accused line overseer on allegations that accused demanded undue advantage of Rs.50,000 for facilitating smooth and error free annual inspection of of the complainant post master.
It was further alleged in the complaint that accused official informed the complainant that the branch inspection would be conducted by an Inspector and share from the demanded bribe was to be paid to the said Inspector also.
The CBI laid a trap and caught accused tout red handed while demanding and accepting first instalment of Rs.20,000 from the complainant at the behest of accused.
