Cyber police station inaugurated at Badarpur police station of Delhi Police

New Delhi, December 3

The South East District of Delhi Police inaugurated a cyber police station at the Badarpur police station.

After the formation of the cyber police station, the the Cyber Cell of Southeast District has been dismantled, which was previously functioning at  Nehru Place.

The Delhi Police has appointed Inspector Sandeep Panwar as the SHO and incharge of cyber police station. 

The SHO will lead his team comprising of four SIs (Exe), 12 ASIs (Exe), 13 head constables, 13 constables and one woman constable under the  supervision of ACP Operations.

DCP South East Esha Pandey inaugurated the new cyber police station. 

DCP (South East) Esha Pandey stated has been launched in view of increasing cybercrimes in the district as per the guidelines of PHQ. It would conduct investigation on complaints such as online fraud, social media crimes, cyber crimes etc. Apart from investigation cases, it would continue to provide technical assistance to cases registered in other police stations too.

This Cyber Police Station has been formed to investigate serious cybercrimes like data fraud, hacking of bank account and serious social media crimes. People can file complaints regarding cyber crime and First Information Report of the concerned complaints shall be registered at Cyber Police Station.
