Delhi constable killed a pedestrain alongwith Leela Hotel staffer in drunken accident

Constable Pardeep Kumar, posted at Rajinder Nagar was arrested for mowing down a hotel staffer of Leela Hotel near Sarojini Nagar; he also killed a pedestrian same night

New Delhi, May 23

The Delhi Police constable who had mowed down Leela Hotel staffer few days ago had also killed a pedestrian on the same night. 

The police had received a PCR call regarding the incident was received at 3.27 am, at Sarojini Nagar police station of May 13 informing that a person is seriously injured in an accident involving a Delhi Police vehicle. 

The deceased was identified as Baijnath, 58, hailing from Trilokpuri area of Delhi. The accused constable Constable Pardeep Kumar, posted at Rajinder Nagar. He was driving the police vehicle in an inebriated state. 

The police rushed to the spot and found a Delhi Police vehicle in an accidental condition and arrested the constable. 

Constable Pardeep had taken the police vehicle from the police station without the knowledge of the SHO Rajinder Nagar and has two of his friends on board the vehicle. The trio were drinking inside the vehicle. 

Before mowing down the pedestrian, Pardeep had rammed into hotel staffer Rajesh Gupta killing him too on the spot.
